Alsum Employee Day of Service Helps Make 132,000 Meals that will feed 362 Children for a Year
In celebration of Alsum Farms & Produce 50th anniversary in 2023, more than 20 Alsum associates volunteered as part of the Alsum Employee Day of Service at the Feed My Starving Children Mobile Pack event in Fond du Lac, Wis., on Saturday, April 1st. The Alsum team helped pack more than 132,192 meals that will feed 362 children for a year!
The meals are comprised of hand-pack rice, soy, dehydrated potatoes and carrots. These nutritionally complete blend of vitamins and minerals meals are packed into bags which are then sealed, boxed, placed on pallets and shipped to partners working hard to reach the neediest children around the world. It was a great day for associates and their families to work together to help make meals that will feed kids in poverty. To learn more about the organization, visit https://www.fmsc.org/.
