Alsum Employee Day of Service Helps Make 132,000 Meals that will feed 362 Children for a Year
In celebration of Alsum Farms & Produce 50th anniversary in 2023, more than 20 Alsum associates volunteered as part of the Alsum Employee Day of Service at the Feed My Starving Children Mobile Pack event in Fond du Lac, Wis., on Saturday, April 1st. The Alsum team helped pack more than 132,192 meals that will feed 362 children for a year!
The meals are comprised of hand-pack rice, soy, dehydrated potatoes and carrots. These nutritionally complete blend of vitamins and minerals meals are packed into bags which are then sealed, boxed, placed on pallets and shipped to partners working hard to reach the neediest children around the world. Saturday, August 12, 2023 – 6th Annual Alsum Tater Trot 5K and 2 Mile Walk and Alsum Farms Grand Marsh potato and pumpkin farms tours
The Alsum Farms & Produce 50th anniversary community celebration continues Saturday, August 12 with the 6th Annual Alsum Farms & Produce Tater Trot 5K and 2-mile walk, along with a WBEV brat fry and educational booths at the Friesland-based location. Alsum Farms & Produce is located at N9083 County Road EF, Friesland, WI (If using GPS, use Cambria, WI 53923). Additionally, after the Tater Trot event concludes a tour of Alsum Farms potato and pumpkin farms in Grand Marsh will be offered to help consumers see firsthand harvest at Alsum Farms Potato & Pumpkin Farms in Grand Marsh. A coach bus will depart at 11 a.m. and return at 2:30 p.m. to Alsum Farms & Produce in Friesland. The farm tour is limited to 50 people, first come basis. The tour is free of charge.
